Music Theatre Philly Summer Camps is the premier theatre Camp for children in Philadelphia!
NEW this year are 2 camp options for children in grades K-6: a one-week “musical revue” camp, or new two-week junior musical.
One-week musical revue camp:
Campers will practice songs, dances and short scenes based on their favorite movie or musical. They will rehearse each day with their professional teaching artists. Each session ends in a live performance. We also record the show and send it to you via email.
Two-week junior musical camp:
Campers will experience the entire process of bringing a script to life on stage: from auditions and rehearsals to designing their own sets and costumes. In two weeks, the campers will put on an entire musical that will be presented on the last Friday of the two-week session.
Grade K-6 Camp runs Monday-Friday from 9 AM - 3 PM.
Music Theatre Philly also offers a Pre-K Camp for children ages 3-5! Pre-K Camp runs from Monday-Friday from 9 AM - 12 PM. Your camper will spend their week working with their teachers to learn songs and dances from the week’s theme. The campers begin each day with a full warm-up, ensuring that their body and voice is ready to face the day. Our campers will focus on growing their independence, social skills and exploring the world around them through active play and the performing arts.
For your convenience, MUSIC THEATRE PHILLY happily offers extended care. During these hours, campers enjoy a relaxed environment under the supervision of an MTP teaching artist. We provide activities like board games, coloring pages, and typically play G-rated movie as your campers unwind from a busy day of singing, dancing and acting.
Before camp: 8:00-9:00 AM for all campers
After camp: 12:00-3:00 PM for Pre-K camps, 3:00-5:00 PM for K-6 campers
